MELISSA WHISH, ATTORNEY AT LAW

Melissa graduated cum laude in 1982 from Regis College, Weston, MA with a B.A. in Communications. Following college, she spent two years in computer sales and as Corporate Communications Coordinator for Leading Edge Computers.

Melissa then received her J.D. from New England Law/Boston in 1988. While at New England Law/Boston, she was a published member of the New England Journal for Criminal and Civil Confinement.

Melissa’s interest in the law stemmed from following in her Mother’s pioneering footsteps. When Melissa’s mother attended law school at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA., she was the only woman in the law school. When she went on to practice law in the late 1960’s, Melissa’s Mother was the only female attorney in the entire county of Lancaster, PA.

Melissa takes great pride that her Mother paved the way making it possible for her and others like her to have their own law practice.

When not dedicating time to her law practice, Melissa unwinds by enjoying nature on daily off leash walks with her rescue pup Justice. She also greatly enjoys photography as a creative outlet.
